YOUNG WOMAN

foamingwaves
When it’s quiet all around
an’ ev’rybody has gone away
I get my thoughts together
on a so-called long silence day.
The stereo is playin’ low
and I hear a music jam
as I’m hummin’ into my mind
that well known music theme.

In my heart I have your sign,
that’s why I like to do a game:
I use to close ev’ry song’s line
spellin’ your musical name.
No I can’t play the music,
I don’t know the chords, nor the notes
so I write to you, young woman,
I get on well with words and dots.

Oh, young woman with
a french kind of name, so sweet.

I’m addressin’ you, young woman
who dug my heart with a deep trace,
on the beach you look like Venus
comin’ out from the foamin’ waves.
The day when the sea was rough,
red flag, no sailin’ boat,
well I tried to call you loud
but  your name didn’t leave my throat.

You could not hear my voice,
I was so sorry, what a shame,
the crashin’ waves made so much noise,
I couldn’t spell your catchy name.
No, I can’t play the music,
I don’t know the chords, nor the notes
so I write to you, young woman,
I get on well with words and dots.

Oh, young woman with
a french kind of name, so sweet.
